- Go to your pending approvals.
- Log into MySlice.
- Select the Human Resources and Payroll tile in the Employee Services section.
- Ensure you are in the “employee self service” view. Select the approvals tile.
- Open the request you want to approve.
- Select “Parental LOA” from the menu on the left side of the page.
- Select your online leave form.
- Review the details of your request.
- Select “view details.”
- Review the details of the request.
- Verify that you are listed at the bottom of the page as a pending approver.
- Review comments made by others, if desired.
- If the details are correct and you do not want to enter comments, click “Approve.” You have completed your confirmation.
- If needed, approve with comments. Note: if any details are incorrect, do not approve. A comment will not override the details on the form. You must "push back" the form for corrections.
- Exit the details view by selecting the “pending approvals” button on the top left.
- Re-open the request.
- Click “approve” and enter your comment in the comment box.
- Hit submit.
- If needed, push back the request with comments to indicate that your planned leave is no longer accurate.
- Exit the details view by selecting the “pending approvals” button on the top left.
- Re-open the request.
- Click “push back” and enter the following: “My leave plans have changed.”
- Hit submit and contact the leaves administrator in your dean’s office.
