  1. Requirements for addressing types of content
    1. Must be reviewed and planned within a year of the Policy go-live
  2. Exclusions & exceptions
    1. If Kaltura is used, then captioning must be reviewed for accuracy
    2. If not used, no exclusion is allowed.

    1. If content is being actively used and legacy content is brought back into action, must be remediated prior to start of the course or use.
  2. Exclusions & exceptions
    1. Continued exclusion for non-active course
    2. In order to use non-captioned video in a course, there must be no students requiring captioning and the video can only be used for a single term.
    3. Other exclusions to captioning include student work and raw footage that will never be archived after the current use, as well as video with foreign language subtitles
    4. Other exclusions to captioning also include instructor-made videos that record feedback to an individual student who doesn’t require captioning.
