Syracuse University’s Adobe Connect Web Conferencing service is being discontinued. This service has been in use, at the University, for several years providing a secure web conference system for lectures and online meetings. The service is being discontinued in favor of newer, tightly integrated, and secure solutions.
The plan is to sunset Adobe Connect on October 15, 2018. Initially this service was to be discontinued on July 31, 2018 but in order to accommodate scheduled Adobe Connect meetings, recording exports and migrations, and new training needs, this end date was pushed back 2 months. The option to keep the service running, beyond this new end date, is no longer available.
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra will now be utilized as the integrated classroom web conferencing application for lectures and online meetings.
