About Required Annual Information Security Awareness Training
All Syracuse University IT users should be aware of best practices around safe computing and all Syracuse University faculty and staff must complete mandatory information security training in accordance with New York State requirements.
Each year, Information Security staff will notify staff and faculty via official campus communication channels. Included will be instructions to participate as well as key deadlines and dates. New staff and faculty with questions about completion should contact their local IT staff/IT director.
You can complete your annual training at any time. To do so, please follow these steps:
- Go to MySlice
- Select Employee Resources from the Employee Home dashboard
- Click on the Security Awareness tile
- Watch the video and answer the questions that accompany it
The deadline to complete this training is April 2. Once you complete the training you will will be eligible to be randomly selected for the weekly drawing for a $25 prize from the Syracuse University Campus Store. You will be eligible for all subsequent weekly prize selections, for a total of four prize opportunities for those who complete the training during the first week.
