Mandy came to Syracuse University in 2019 certified through the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP). She obtained her PMP in 2014. She has been working in the IT industry since starting her career in 2002.
Prior to joining the Enterprise Process Support group, Mandy served as a Project Manager for DXC Technology, where she was responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of immunization information system projects for state health departments. Mandy was the primary point of contact for her customers and her team members. She was responsible for the prioritization and oversight of work tasks for various team members including developers, business analysts, database administrators, help desk staff, and trainers to ensure the projects deliverables, requirements, timelines, and budget were being adhered to while maintaining customer satisfaction. In 2017, Mandy led an immunization system replacement for the State of Maine which included development of enhancements, data migration, system platform upgrade, hosting, and system roll-out. She has attended and presented her successful projects at national conferences (American Immunization Registry Association).
In addition to project management work, Mandy also had other responsibilities at DXC. She served as a delivery supervisor responsible for the overall success, growth and development of up to 20 business analysts across various immunization information system projects. She also assisted in writing responses to several Request for Proposals (RFP).
Mandy started her career at Oleen Pinnacle Healthcare Consulting where she held various roles as an IT consultant. She was part of a local health information exchange start-up project where she was responsible for managing the budget and vouchering of federal grant money; assisting in the operational rollout of the application; developing of policy, procedures, and system documentation; and testing of the application upgrades. She was a contributing member of a transition team that moved end users from a local PC-based application to web-based application. Her responsibilities included developing transition plans, migrating data, and training of end users on the new application. Her initial responsibilities started as a help desk support representative eventually moving to management of the help desk operations which included up to 3 representatives and over 1200 end users.
Mandy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from LeMoyne College in 2002.
