Blackboard Collaborate can be used to stream, to record, and to remotely attend student organization meetings at the College of Law.  The steps below are in two sections, for setting up the stream and for remotely viewing the stream.

Setting up the stream

  1. Turn on room system and microphones as necessary.
  2. In Blackboard, choose the Organizations tab and choose "Law Student Organizations Collaborate" from the My Organizations menu.
  3. Click the Launch Collaborate link to enter the Collaborate interface.
  4. Choose the name of the organization which is holding the event.
  5. Choose "Join Session"
  6. Once the meeting launches, choose to permit microphone and camera access, if prompted.
  7. Activate camera and microphone using the buttons at the bottom of the window.
  8. In the top left of the window, click the black menu icon and choose "start recording."

Viewing the stream

  1. In Blackboard, choose the Organizations tab and choose "Law Student Organizations Collaborate" from the My Organizations menu.
  2. Click the Launch Collaborate link to enter the Collaborate interface.
  3. Choose the name of the organization which is holding the event.
  4. Choose "Join Session"
  5. Activate camera and microphone, if desired.
