Scanning

1. Open Finder (bottom left side of the Dock), go into Applications and open Image Capture.

2. From the bottom menu bar, select Desktop from the first drop-down menu and US Letter from the second drop-down menu.

NOTE: Consider creating a new folder and selecting that as your destination for big scan jobs.

3. Place your document on the bottom left corner of the scanner and click Scan.

NOTE: Repeat this step for multiple pages.

4. When done, your file/s will be saved to the Desktop and will be named Scan.jpg.

Creating a PDF (or Multi-Page PDF)

1. Follow the Scanning steps to scan your page/s.

2. Open Finder (bottom left side of the Dock), go into Applications and open the Adobe Acrobat DC folder->Adobe Acrobat.

3. Go to File->Create->Combine Files into a Single PDF....

4. From the top left Add Files... drop-down menu, select Add Files....

5. Locate your scanned file/s, select them and click Add Files.

NOTE: To select multiple files hold down the Command key and select files.

6. If necessary, you can drag pages around to put them in order, when done click Combine Files.

7. If pages are upside down, go to View->Rotate View from the top menu and rotate your pages. Otherwise, you can save your PDF by going into File->Save.

Windows

Tip: Place the top-left corner of document facing down on the scanner where the arrow is pointing.

1. Click on the bottom left Windows logo and start typing the word acrobat. From the search results, open Adobe Acrobat DC.

2. Select File->Create->PDF from Scanner->Color Document.

3. When the first scan is complete, select Scan more pages for a multi-page PDF or Scan is Complete to finish scanning. Click OK.

4. Select File->Save.

5. Select where to save your document and name it, then click Save.

Tip: Place the top-left corner of document facing down on the scanner where the arrow is pointing.

1. Click on the bottom left Windows logo and type in Windows Fax and Scan and open that program.

2. Select File->New->Scan.

3. Select Preview.

4. Uncheck ‘Preview or scan images as separate files’.

5. Select the area you want to scan and click Scan.

Tip: After the scanning completes, right-click on the image and select Zoom->Fit to Page to view the entire document scanned.

6. Select File->Save As.

7. Select where to save your document and name it, then click Save.
