Tip

For PC's we recommend using VLC to record your screen and Microsoft Voice Recorder to record your audio

To use VLC and Microsoft Voice Recorder:

2.

Open VLC player, and click on “View,” and then “Advanced Controls.” A few more buttons will appear on the interface.

3.

Go to “Media” and then “Open Capture Device…”.

In the new window, set Capture mode to “Desktop,” and the Desired frame rate to “24 fps” (frames per second).

4.

Click on the dropdown next to the “Play” button, and select “Convert.”

5.

At the bottom of the new window select “Browse” and navigate to the destination you would like your video saved in. Name your file and select “Save.” We recommend creating a new folder on your desktop.

6.

Back in the “Convert” window, select the picture of the document with the orange circle.

7.

In this new Profile Edition Window, name your profile. This can be the same name as your video. Select “MP4/MOV” then navigate to the “Video Codec” section of the window.

8.

Select H-264 from the dropdown and select “Create.”  Once back at the “Convert” window, select “Start” to begin your recording. Minimize the VLC window.

9.

Your screen is now being recorded. Open Microsoft Voice Recorder and press record. Minimize the Voice Recorder window and begin recording your content.
