MPH students compete in a 200-hour applied practice experience. Options include U.S.-based and international settings. This experience provides an opportunity for students to apply public health knowledge and skills in a community setting and to demonstrate proficiency in at least five (5) MPH competencies, of which three (3) must be foundational competencies. This course is completed after year 1 or year 2 of the program, during summer session. Registration is by permission of instructor only. Pre-requisite: Students complete the Completed Applied Practice Experience Pre-Planning program milestone. Registration is by permission of instructor only.
