You must be a "Project Manager" for a project to edit it.

Project Avatar (icon that displays for the project in lists)

Images for project avatars should be 48x48 pixels in size.  The project avatar does appear in the list of projects returned by "View all projects."  It also appears on the project summary screen.

  1. Select "Projects"
  2. Select your project from the list of recent projects or select "View All Projects" and select the appropriate project.
  3. Select the "Administration" link on the project summary screen.
  4. Select the "Edit Project" button in the upper right-hand corner.
  5. Use the "select image" link next to "Project Avatar" to browse to the image to use for your project.
  6. Select the update button.

Project Description

While it is possible to use HTML in a project description, ITS recommends that you use only text.    The project description does not appear in the list of projects returned by "View all projects"  or on the project summary screen. 

  1. Select "Projects"
  2. Select your project from the list of recent projects or select "View All Projects" and select the appropriate project.
  3. Select the "Administration" link on the project summary screen.
  4. Select the "Edit Project" button in the upper right-hand corner.
  5. In the description field, enter a description of your project. 
  6. Select the Update Button

Project URL

You can associate a web address with your project.  For example, if your project is providing support for a particular system, you can add a link to that system in the project URL field.

  1. Select "Projects"
  2. Select your project from the list of recent projects or select "View All Projects" and select the appropriate project.
  3. Select the "Administration" link on the project summary screen.
  4. Select the "Edit Project" button in the upper right-hand corner.
  5. Use the "select image" link next to "Project Avatar" to browse to the image to use for your project.
  6. Select the update button.Enter the URL for the web page into the URL field.

The "Edit Project" screen has an option to change the project key.  Since this will change the issue key on every issue within the project, possibly making issues unavailable until a re-index of the project is complete, ITS recommends contacting the Orange Tracker team at help@syr.edu before making any changes to the project key.
