In order to make sure the Physics department main office continues to provide services, we have worked out the following plan.
The Physics Department Office (Physics Building 201) will be staffed in person by Administrative Assistant, Yudaisy Salomon Sargenton on Fridays during regular business hours, 8:30am – 5pm. *Starting 12/11/20 through 1/22/21 the office will close at 4:30 pm. Incoming phones calls will go to voicemail email to email@example.com for immediate attention.
Important contacts to the staff are made using generic email addresses:
firstname.lastname@example.org for general contacts,
email@example.com for budget inquiries, and
firstname.lastname@example.org for academic-related issues.
Each of these emails go to multiple staff in order for the staff to support back-up for each other.
Staff members not working in the office during the timeframe noted above will be working from home. While working from home, staff members will have set drop-in hours on Zoom. Both the in person and drop-in hours are posted below website with the times and links. Nearly all departmental processes and functions can be handled remotely online using emails and online forms.
